Members of the Supervisory Board

Mr. Ilir I. Aliu - Chairman of the Supervisory Board starting from 2016. Since 2005, Mr. Aliu has been a management member of the bank, initially as the Deputy General Director of ProCredit Bank in Kosovo and then at the same position of ProCredit Bank in Macedonia.  Before this, Mr. Aliu worked at ProCredit Bank Kosovo as Internal Auditor and later as Manager of the Department for Private Clients Services. Mr. Aliu has graduated from IFAM in Paris in Management studies, where he also finished his postgraduate studies in Business Administration. Meanwhile, Mr. Aliu has practiced other functions outside ProCredit Bank as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kosovo Bankers’ Association, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, member of CEMEA Advising Committee of VISA Inc, etc. In July 2015, Mr. Aliu was elected as the chairman of the Board of Directors of Kosovo Banking Association.

Dr. Claus-Peter Zeitinger  -  Member of the Supervisory Board starting from 2012. Dr. Zeitinger is the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of ProCredit Holding, Germany. From 1981-2006 he served as the Managing Director of IPC (Internationale Projekt Consult), the company which was the initiator and founding shareholder of ProCredit Holding and continues to be the driving entrepreneurial force behind the ProCredit group. Dr. Zeitinger holds a doctorate in Economics from the Goethe University of Frankfurt.

Sandrine Massiani - Member of the Supervisory Board starting from 2012. Group HR Coordinator, ProCredit  Holding. Ms. Massiani has been with the ProCredit group since 2003. She is currently in charge of the overall co-ordination, development and implementation of the HR policies and activities of the group’s member institutions. Previously, as Regional Co-ordinator for ProCredit in Africa, she oversaw the strategy and operations of the group institutions in Africa. Prior to joining ProCredit, Ms Massiani worked for the international network of BNP Paribas in the area of financial analysis, financial controlling and management reporting. After graduating in Financial Management from EDHEC, a business school in France, Ms. Massiani earned an M.Sc. in Development Finance from the University of London and an M.A. in Political Science and International Relations (focus: developing countries) from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, France.

Jovanka Joleska Popovska – Member of the Supervisory Board starting from 2015. Ms. Joleska Popovska has served as the General Manager of ProCredit Bank Macedonia since 2009. Before joining the ProCredit group, Ms. Joleska Popovska worked for KPMG audit company, where she held various positions. In addition, since 1997 she has been a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) – United Kingdom. After graduating from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Ms. Joleska Popovska was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. 

Wolfgang Bertelsmeier - Member of the Supervisory Board starting from 2012.
Mr. Bertelsmeier is also a member of the Supervisory Board of ProCredit Holding, Germany. In a career with the World Bank Group spanning more than 30 years he held management positions at various organisations affiliated to the Group, in particular the International Finance Corporation. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main.
