ProCredit Bank Launches a Financing Program for Women Entrepreneurs

Published: 13.02.2025

In collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and with the support of the European Union and Sweden, ProCredit Bank has introduced special lending conditions and additional advisory and training services for women entrepreneurs.

The financing program operates under the Women in Business (WiB) Fund and has an initial credit resource allocation of €5 million.

Special financing conditions offered by ProCredit Bank include a reduced interest rate on loans - 0.5% lower than the standard rate - and discount on collateral and issuance fees. Additionally, women entrepreneurs can benefit from a 50% discount on the monthly fee for business service packages.

Beyond financial support, the program provides non-financial benefits, including participation in strategic training sessions and workshops on key topics such as leadership and management, business digital transformation, financial management, and more.

Women entrepreneurs who meet EBRD’s selection criteria will also have access to co-financing for advisory services in digitalization, inclusive and green economic development, as well as support in strategy, marketing communication, organizational structure, and business operations—ensuring the company’s efficient and sustainable functioning.

To participate in the program, a company registered in Georgia must have at least 50% of its board of directors comprised of women.

Promoting women’s economic empowerment is a strategic priority for ProCredit Bank, and the bank has implemented numerous projects in this direction. By improving access to finance, ProCredit Bank aims to further strengthen the role of women in the economy.

Women entrepreneurs interested in developing their businesses with this new financing opportunity or seeking more information about training and advisory projects are encouraged to consult with ProCredit’s business advisors.
