Changes in the principle of depositing money using PayBox

Please be informed that under the order of the National Bank of Georgia, from 15 January 2021, the principle of depositing money using PayBox machines is changing. An additional cash depositor verification step is added to the procedure to be performed by the client. In particular, the person will be identified by a single-use code received on the mobile phone number. To get the code, the client needs to have a valid mobile phone number registered with the bank in advance, for which it is necessary to apply timely to the client advisors.

When depositing money, after having entered the personal number and date of birth on the PayBox machine, the cash depositor will be sent a generated single-use code to this mobile phone number and only after having entered/confirmed the code in the relevant field, the depositor will be able to complete the process.

It is important for our customers to bear the situation caused by the pandemic in mind and timely register their contact phone numbers with the client advisor to avoid delays.
